Joshua Pankin, MD

Joshua Pankin, MD is a third-year pediatrics resident at Baystate Children's Hospital and will serve as Chief Resident from September 2026 to June 2027. His scholarly work focuses on handoff communication, family-centered rounds, and how technology can transform medical education and augment the physician-patient relationship. He trained at the NY State-American Program School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University and earned his BA in Biology, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, where he worked in the Morrisey and Frank labs for 3.5 years. He lives in Western Massachusetts with his wife Ruthie and son, and spends weekends on ceramics and landscape photography.
